Lockyer Valley Regional Council Events Calendar
The Lockyer Valley Regional Council was created at midnight on the 14th March 2008 as a result of the amalgamation of the Gatton and Laidley Shire Councils.
This historical event, in bringing two neighbouring Shire's located in the Lockyer Valley, together provides a strong wealth of resources & cultural unity that will allow the region to take advantage of the significant growth and will provide opportunities to achieve the progress necessary towards building a better, sustainable future.
Both Shires have a wealth of Agricultural, Horticultural and Educational history that will remain the essence of the new Council.
Reflections from our history, has the capacity to provide a clear vision to move forward with balanced view to explore sustainable development to build upon our unique rural lifestyle in the Lockyer Valley - our Valley of Variety.
The National Library of Australia & Partners - Pandora Australia's Web Archive has provided an access to maintain our history in storing our Gatton and Laidley Shires Websites.
This access to the link archive Websites of Gatton and Laidley is as follows:

In the short term you may find links to information from either Laidley or Gatton or both, please be patient. If you have any concerns about the legitimacy of the information provided on this site please contact either council office directly, Staff at either office will be only too happy to assist with your enquiry.
To assist in the transition process a Local Transition Committee has been established. To view News Releases from the Local Transition Committee click here.
