Council operates reticulation sewerage systems in the towns of Gatton and Helidon. The wastewater is treated at wastewater treatment plants on the outskirts of each town. Council is working towards having all water from both plants recycled. This should be fully implemented within the next two years. At present approximately 70% of the water is recycled for agricultural purposes.
